The session explored the debate between "academic" and "vocational" qualifications, including a panel of expert speakers discussing the new T Level qualifications and their potential impact on access and success in HE.
Many groups can be excluded from accessing and participating into the creative and performing arts. This event explored these issues and considered how we can make improvements.

The findings from this new, collaborative research into the effects of Covid-19 on students' attitudes to their future and higher education will be of interest to all those engaged in university outreach. The analysis will be reported and this will be followed by an in-depth discussion about the implications for planning, delivering and evaluating outreach which will be incorporated in to the final recommendations.
This event gave participants the opportunity to hear about the findings from the NERUPI UniConnect collaborative research project which aimed to gain an understanding of the effect of Covid-19 students attitudes to the future, their perspectives on higher education and the factors which might affect their progression in education. Participants explored the implications for outreach with other practitioners and contributed to the formulation of the report recommendations.
During this half day morning session we considered the pros and cons of the self-assessment tool and explored how this together with the NERUPI Framework can be used to achieve a powerful approach to evaluation and continuous improvement.
This event provided a space for increasing awareness about why and how we deliver outreach drawing on pedagogies designed to foster active engagement.
