In this Creative HE Working Group session Charlotte Godfrey will describe Bath Spa University's innovative Emerge initiative which offers a studio residency programme for alumni and local community artists. Emerge aims to improve graduate outcomes and wellbeing in the longer term, as well as giving professional agency and improving professional sustainability. Partnership working has opened this unique experience to the wider community supporting the local economy which in turn positively impacts graduate retention within the region.

Charlotte has worked within the creative sector for over 20 years, working across radio, TV, digital content production.

She is an advocate for emerging talent, accessibility and gender inclusion, specialising on the delivery of high-quality careers support through a human centred approach, enabling social mobility, utilising the power of placemaking and the power of developing equitable communities.
